The materials and colours used in the previous store design were mostly replaced. The faux-historical cool tiles were replaced with flooring using a modern and comfortable design with an oak look. The interior designers from HEIKAUS removed some of the walls towards separate examination areas. A modern high-tech eye examination area now harmoniously fits into the new retail design. A warm, high-pile copper-coloured carpet led to a lounge-like “private room” for examinations. Gradual transfers instead of enclosed rooms change the entire feel of the rooms. The 60 m² large store has increased in transparency and size thanks to this new room layout. Copper shades in lamps, floor segments and comfortable leather armchairs add a maximum of warmth and cosiness. The design team skilfully combined black MDF wall applications for the optimal presentation of glasses with white display cubes. Large black consulting tables and the new, much smaller cash desk were adjusted to this. The shop window design provides exciting views and invites passers-by as customers to come in and linger as well. The current room design of the optician’s specialist store is still merged with the historical exterior façade of the building for an attractive, matching overall image.
